The “serve” in Serve Electric isn’t just there because we provide top notch service to our customers. While that is a major reason, our company’s mission is to not only serve our customers but serve each other and the community at large. So what does that look like?
Sometimes it means just being flexible with an employee when life is getting overwhelming or it can mean helping a local widower fix some things around the house. It also can mean participating in large-scale mission trips that send our team overseas. All these examples are equally important to us.
Electrical Help in Kenya
People often forget that we all have gifts that can help others…even electricians! In fact, the stars really aligned when we were contacted by Kenya Relief, an organization that has made it its mission to rekindle hope for a new generation in Kenya through partnership and means such as medical, orphanage, education, etc.
Kenya Relief’s Brase Clinic & Vision Center was in dire need of some electrical help. Being true to our mission to serve, we sponsored two of our electrical apprentices to go to Kenya and help out. While the main mission was to install an automatic transfer switch on their backup generator, there were a multitude of other electrical needs that arose while there.
“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.”
We’re honored and grateful for the ability to work with the Kenya Relief team to help establish more stable power sources for their medical clinic.
Due to the work the Kenya Relief team does at the Brase Clinic & Vision Center, this year alone, over 300 Medical and Surgical Missionaries will serve over 1,000 patients. That’s incredible!
We’re just happy to have played a small role in their serving success story.
