Falls are the top cause of construction fatalities and account for one-third of on-the-job injury deaths in the industry.
Due to the nature of our work, our team is frequently at higher heights in order to get the job done. That said, it’s critical our team is trained properly on how to work in these dangerous situations to avoid dangerous falls.
Training at the Branches
For optimal learning, our trainings are a combination of lecture-based and hands-on lessons. This training covered topics such as:
- Lift inspections
- Work zone inspections
- Fall protection
- Operating/traveling/loading
- Overhead protection
- Stability in the work zone
Implementing Training in the Field
The training implemented at the branches covered the use of both aerial and scissor lifts, so regardless of the job and the lift required, each of our teammates is properly trained to safely operate the lifts.
